I bought it as a gift. I thought it would be one of those oriental style hair braces with chopsticks but no, instead it has a metal clip clip on the back (like a French barrette). It looks good quality and is large and doesn't weigh too much.

It's gorgeous, I loved it, the only thing is that the brooch kind of bends its legs and you have to arrange them so you can put it on, outside of it, beautiful.
